As I get ready to transition my life across the country for grad school, it’s important to stop and reflect on the things that make you happy. Here’s a quick picture of my girlfriend Tova and her dog Otis. I’m going to miss them both.

My latest project is converting a small 5 gallon (19 liter) tank I had on hand into an all-in-one invertebrate tank. So far the project cost is $9.87 for the return pump plumbing and $7.99 for the acrylic.

I’ve decided to bring my houseplants outdoors for the summer to give them some extra light and wind. So far they’re looking far better than they did inside even in a bright window. I can’t believe how green and healthy they look.
